Plasma Therapy: The Natural Path to Youthful Skin

Plasma therapy, also known as Dracula therapy or PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), is a unique treatment that uses your own blood as a source of energy for regeneration. No foreign substances, no chemicals—just your own potential, which can reawaken your skin to new life.

At BeautyLab, we combine modern medicine with the utmost gentleness on the skin. We apply plasma not only using the Vital Injector device, which ensures even and precise distribution into the skin with minimal discomfort, but we also work with Swiss RegenLab technology—one of the world’s most reliable systems for preparing PRP.

RegenLab allows us to obtain platelet-rich plasma in its purest and most active form, which we can use on its own or combine, for example, with hyaluronic acid for an even more pronounced effect. This means a stronger regenerative boost, better healing, and naturally rejuvenated skin from within.

Not every salon uses technology of this high quality—but for us, it’s the standard. We believe that when you combine the best of science with a sensitive approach to your body, the result is always naturally beautiful.

How Plasma Therapy Works and Why We Do It This Way

Plasma therapy is unique in that it works exclusively with what your body can produce on its own. The process takes place in several steps, each of which has its own significance:

1. Blood draw
At the beginning, we’ll draw a small amount of blood—just like during a routine blood draw at the doctor’s office. It’s quick, gentle, and causes no unnecessary discomfort.

2. Centrifugation
The blood sample is then placed in a special device—a centrifuge. This separates the individual components of the blood, resulting in pure plasma enriched with growth factors and platelets. It is these components that have the ability to activate renewal and regeneration processes.

3. Application to the Skin
The prepared plasma is then gently re-injected into the skin using the Vital Injector device, which ensures the most precise and even distribution. This method is more comfortable and effective because the plasma is delivered exactly where it is needed.

4. Activation of Regenerative Processes
The body responds to the administered plasma as a signal for natural renewal. Collagen and elastin production is triggered, and blood circulation and cell regeneration are improved. The skin gradually firms up, fine lines are smoothed out, and the complexion becomes more supple, brighter, and appears well-rested.

That is exactly why plasma therapy is so exceptional—it doesn’t work against your body, but with it. It harnesses your body’s own regenerative power and restores your skin’s natural appearance, radiance, and vitality.

What People Have Said About Us

Who is plasma therapy suitable for?

Plasma therapy is the solution for anyone who wants to support the skin’s natural regenerative processes —without any foreign substances, using only the body’s own resources. It’s a therapy that’s ideal when regular skincare isn’t enough anymore and you’re looking for something that works deeply yet gently.

PRP is most commonly recommended for:

  • loss of firmness and sagging skin —when you feel that your skin isn't as supple as it used to be,

  • fine wrinkles and lines – it is suitable both for preventing and treating the first signs of aging,

  • a tired, sallow-looking complexion —when your skin lacks radiance and freshness,

  • acne scars and uneven skin texture,

  • pigmentation and uneven skin tone, which are difficult to address with regular cosmetics.

PRP is also an excellent choice for those who want to avoid invasive procedures but would like to support their skin from within and give it a new boost for regeneration.

However, it is not suitable for everyone. We do not recommend plasma therapy in cases of active infections, blood disorders, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or when taking certain specific medications. That’s why a consultation is always part of the treatment process at our clinic—we’ll review your health status and make sure this method is safe and beneficial for you.

What precautions should be taken during and after treatment?

Hydration

After treatment, it is important to drink plenty of water and regularly use gentle moisturizers.

Sun Protection

Your skin is more sensitive, so always apply SPF and avoid direct sunlight.

Free of irritants

Do not use retinol, acids, or exfoliants for at least 3–5 days.

Wellness Break

Please avoid the sauna, hot baths, and the pool for 24–48 hours. We recommend avoiding exercise for 24 hours before and after the treatment.

Recovery after plasma therapy

Plasma therapy is a very gentle procedure and therefore does not require a long recovery period. Immediately after treatment, the skin may be slightly red or slightly swollen, but these symptoms usually subside within a few hours to a few days.

Occasionally, small bruises may appear at the injection site, but they will disappear on their own within a short time. However, the skin begins its regeneration process from the very first days—it gradually firms up, evens out, and takes on a healthier appearance.

You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure, but we recommend avoiding intense sunlight, saunas, and swimming pools for at least a few days. Gentle care, hydration, and SPF are essential to ensure that the results of plasma therapy last as long as possible and that your skin has time to fully regenerate.

The History of Plasma Therapy

Plasma therapy, also known as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), has come a long way. It originated in medicine—doctors began using it as early as the 1970s to treat wounds and in orthopedics to promote the regeneration of tendons and joints. They discovered that platelet-rich plasma contains numerous growth factors that naturally trigger the processes of healing and tissue regeneration.

Gradually, this method began to be used in aesthetic medicine as well. It offered something that had been missing until then—the ability to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin in a completely natural way, without the use of foreign substances. That is one of the reasons why it came to be known as “Draculotherapy.”

Today, plasma therapy is one of the most popular treatments worldwide—not only for its regenerative effects, but also for its safety. That’s because it uses only what your body produces on its own. The combination of medical principles and modern technology makes it a unique method that can naturally enhance the beauty and health of your skin and hair.

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions About Plasma Therapy

How should I prepare for plasma therapy?

Preparation is very simple—at least 48 hours before the procedure, avoid alcohol, sun exposure, tanning beds, and products containing retinol or acids. If you have inflammation or an infection in the treatment area, let us know and we’ll work with you to reschedule.

It isn't particularly painful. We use an anesthetic cream, so you'll only feel a slight prick or pressure. Most clients describe the procedure as quite manageable.

You'll notice the first changes after just a few days—your skin will look fresher and healthier. The full effect, such as the smoothing of wrinkles or an improvement in skin texture, becomes apparent within 2–4 weeks.

We recommend a series of 3–5 sessions spaced several weeks apart. For hair treatment, up to 5–6 applications may be necessary. After that, it’s enough to maintain the results once every 6–12 months.

The results last for about 6–12 months—depending on the condition of your skin and your lifestyle.

After the procedure, your skin may be red or you may have some minor bruising. However, these symptoms will subside quickly, and you can return to your normal activities.

No, we do not recommend this treatment during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Not exactly. It is not recommended for people with blood disorders, active skin infections, or those taking certain medications. We’ll always go over everything together during your consultation.

Traditional plasma therapy (draculotherapy) uses only pure plasma. CellularMatrix is enriched with hyaluronic acid, which provides even more intense hydration and skin firming.
